Online students at UMSL can expect the same quality education as students attending class in a physical classroom, but with greater flexibility to fit their busy lifestyles. Award-winning faculty teach classes on campus and online using today’s learning technologies to engage students, and to enhance communication and collaboration.  Online tutoring is available to all UMSL students, as are other academic support services.

The University of Missouri–St. Louis is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.   This accreditation applies to all baccalaureate, master, and doctoral levels. The accrediting institution is an advocate of educational quality and its improvement. Membership in the Association indicates that the institution has been carefully evaluated and found to meet standards agreed upon by qualified educators.

UMSL offers online degree and certificate programs at all academic levels. Some programs are 100% online while others require visits to campus or testing centers.  Please view Definitions in Online Education for more details.
