Master of Education with Elementary & Special Education Teacher Certification
The Elementary Teacher Certification program with the option to earn a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education is designed for students who already hold a baccalaureate degree and are interested in obtaining Missouri teacher certification in Elementary Education. This program provides an accelerated path, Teach in 12, which requires intensive study, immersive experiences, and large investments of time and effort. Candidates who enter the program will be unable to maintain concurrent professional commitments.
Requires a minimum of 33 Credit Hours of graduate-level courses earned with a GPA of at least 3.0.
- Courses taken over six to seven semesters
- Practicum, 8 credit hours taken in residence at an elementary Studio School with Special Ed as a faculty member, planning and teaching to provide in-depth support, flexibility, and intervention for elementary students.
