Master of Education with Elementary Teacher Certification

The Elementary Teacher Certification program with the option to earn a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education is designed for students who already hold a baccalaureate degree and are interested in obtaining Missouri teacher certification in Elementary Education. This program provides an accelerated path, Teach in 12, which requires intensive study, immersive experiences, and large investments of time and effort. Candidates who enter the program will be unable to maintain concurrent professional commitments.

Requires a minimum of 33 Credit Hours of graduate-level courses earned with a GPA of at least 3.0.

Required courses charge UMSL Online tuition and fees and the College of Education Supplemental fee.


Because of the high expectations of participants in this program, students are required to seek advising prior to starting the program as well as before enrolling each term.
